Santa Monica CA.

Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, Santa Monica, California, USA
Date: July 22, 1967 (?)
This is an audience recording. By modern Standards it is terrible but keep in mind it's almost 40 years old. The main Problem is the vocals are very low in the mix and distorted. Jimmy "Magic Fingers" Page comes through loud and clear, and the rhythm section is mostly audible. Slightly boosted the bass and cut the midrange with my trusty old 12 band equalizer, and tinkered with Levels in Cool Edit Pro 2.1.
Tracklist:     1. Train Kept a Rollin' (end only), 2. Mr. You're a Better Man Than I, 3. Heart Full of Soul, 4. I Wish You Would/Hey Gyp, 5. My Baby, 6. Most Likely You'll Go Your Way, 7. Smile on Me, 8. I'm a Man, 9. Over Under Sideways Down

Columbia Studios, Cumular Limit Sessions
Label: Fan-Release, 1 CD-R
Sound: PRO 9/10
Track: Knowing That Im Losing You / Tangerine
This is the legendary recording that later became the song Tangerine by Led Zeppelin. It was recording during the Cumular Limit Sessions. By some reason it was never released back in the 60s. Some years ago this was released on the first print of either the Cumular Limit or Little Games Sessions album. It was then pulled of the shelves hours after it was released in the stores. All remaining Albums were then destroyed.

NOTES: This has been compared to the Moreland Street release and I believe this to be better - mainly because they didn't do anything to fix Relf's mic (it didn't seem to have any compression at all during the show and was over driven a lot on the tape) and then they EQ'd the high end to the point it can't stand to listen to it. I figure it's best to distribute without EQ'ing and allow everyone to set their own EQs during playback. The sound checks are rough, and I restored them as I was able.

Notes: The torrent was made from the original tapes that were recorded the evening of Thursday, September 8, 1988 at the Miami Knight Center. The device was a SONY Walkman D3 with the microphone that came with it - no model number. It was a general admission ticket (labeled "The Outsider [sic] Tour") and the three of us sat third row in the balcony,  viewing the band slightly to our right. It took three tape sides to record the show (tracks labeled "101." for track 1 on the first side etc.) and happily no music was lost - all the tape changes took place in the lulls between songs. It doesn't always work out that way. I tracked-out the band leaving/returning to the stage as well as the three of us leaving the venue because it's the only way that you can be certain that you got the WHOLE show. Just delete it if you're not into realism. The tape was uploaded via Adobe Audition 1.5 and the first two tape sides were amplified by 3dB (after consulting with the forum first). The last tape side was not changed at all. It was tracked out in Adobe also and saved as WAV files.  It was converted to FLAC with FlacFrontend level 8 and a fingerprint file is enclosed.
